Worship With Us

If you are new to the Wheeling area, or are just visiting, we'd love for you to worship with us and experience God's presence in our church and our community!  We know that coming to a new church for the first time can make anyone nervous. At the Wheeling SDA Church, we want you to feel welcome every time you visit, so here is what you might expect.

When you arrive, someone will be at the door to greet you with a warm handshake. The greeter will hand you a program guide with useful information concerning the Sabbath School and Worship Service, church activities, and more.

Our Sabbath School, where we meet for study and discussion, begins at 9:30 a.m.  We have an interactive adult class that meets in the sanctuary and fun children and youth classes in their own classrooms.  (Click here for more information on the various Sabbath school groups).  The classes conclude at 10:30 a.m., at which time members and visitors enjoy some fellowship.

Our Divine Worship Service begins in the sanctuary at 11 a.m. where we come together as a family to develop a closer and more meaningful relationship with our personal Savior, Jesus Christ.  The service usually includes singing hymns, scripture reading, an offering, praise and prayer time, and a sermon from the pastor or elders of the church.  At times, we may have special music and a children’s story.  We believe it is important for our youth to be involved in serving our Lord, so you will see several young ones participating in some part of the service each week.  Afterwards you may want to stay and join us in the fellowship hall for lunch.  This provides a warm environment where we get to know one another better.

Once you’ve spent Sabbath with us, we hope that you’ve had a wonderful experience and that you will want to come back and visit again sometime soon. Our belief at the Wheeling SDA Church is that every person who comes is important!  We’re eager to know you and excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.  But above all else, we want to express Christ’s love to you with heartfelt warmth.
