Jesus made a profound statement about children when He told His disciples, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:16, NKJV). While the disciples feared that the children might bother Jesus, the Savior embraced them and affirmed their value.
Wise King Solomon said, “Children are a gift of the Lord” (Psalm 127:3, NASB). He also offered this parenting advice: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6, NKJV). We recognize the need for children to be nurtured spiritually so they can experience the unconditional love of Jesus and find assurance of acceptance and forgiveness.
The children of our church are not just the future--they are actively included in the ministries of the church today!
